T.C. HENDERSON ELEMENTARY: Teachers and staff have a lovely
refurbished area in which they can enjoy a calm respite when
they are able to snatch a few minutes to do so. Paula Benton
and Mary Adams of Cocoon Interior Design have adopted an on-going
project to redecorate and renovate teachers’ lounges at
every school in the county. They have repurposed furnishings
donated by clients, added fresh paint, and pulled all the disparate
parts together with attractive pillows, skirts to hide utilitarian
equipment, and interesting accessories. The result is a true
extreme makeover—achieved without the mess! Later this
year Cocoon Interior Design will begin working on another school—the
chosen one is Rosman High School. It is their plan to eventually
create an attractive and calm get-away for teachers and staff
at every school.
